Praise ye the Lord! O, praise the Lord, my soul!
God’s grace breaks forth to comfort and console.
In ev’ry time I’ll sing my faithful song:
Praise be to God to whom we all belong.
Praise ye the Lord! O, praise the Lord, my soul!
Place not your trust in whom no help is found.
Mortals will die then rest beneath the ground.
God’s word endures, its voice will know no end.
Gladly we worship God, our pray’rs ascend.
Praise ye the Lord! O, praise the Lord, my soul!
Happy are those whose help is in the Lord!
In times of trial, God’s hope is their reward.
God made the heav’ns, the earth, and all between,
from mighty seas to forests evergreen.
Praise ye the Lord! O, praise my Lord, my soul!
God calls for justice, sets the pris’ners free,
saves the oppressed, and hears their ev’ry plea,
rescues the orphan, ends the widow’s plight,
crushes the wicked way with righteous might.
Praise ye the Lord! O, praise the Lord, my soul!
