Go tell you the Baptist what Jesus has done.
The work of the kingdom, in him, has begun.
He brings the Good News to the lonely and lost
and fixes the broken no matter the cost.
He blesses the blind and recovers their sight.
The lame are now walking; he ends their poor plight.
The lepers are cleansed and the deaf can now hear.
The dead, resurrected; despairs disappear.
Good News to the outcasts; Good News to the poor:
Good News to the suff’ring; Good News evermore.
God’s kingdom is coming; let’s joyfully sing
for peace ever after Christ Jesus will bring.
