I thirst for you, my Lord, my God; my want for you is true.
As drying ground longs for the rain, so too I ache for you.
Your sanctuary I behold; your pow’r and glory great.
My lips will praise you without end; your wonder I await.
I feast upon your steadfast love; my soul has had its fill.
My help you’ve been in ages past; your hand upholds me still.
But those who seek to end my life will fall into the deep.
The Lord has promised good to me, my heart and soul to keep.
